Maya Esslemont, Director of After Exploitation, said:

“This is a challenging time for survivors of modern slavery and trafficking in the UK. Not only is work needed to make sure that every survivor has the practical tools and support needed to rebuild their lives, there is also an urgent need for community-building, solidarity, and creative outlets to heal. For this reason, we are pleased to be working with Nottingham Central Library and Nottingham’s former Young Poet Laureate, Georgina Wilding, to deliver a poetry workshop for survivors of exploitation to build inner strength through creativity, meet like-minded people and have fun too!”
